EDITORIAL BOARD PROFILE
A picture of Brian K. Johnson

Brian K. Johnson is an Associate Professor and has taught photojournalism at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since the fall semester of 1988.

Before joining the faculty at the UI he worked for seven years as a staff photojournalist where he won national, regional and state awards for his work. He has a BS in journalism from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and a MS in journalism from the University of Illinois. His scholarship areas include the convergence of media in photojournalism, especially video and multimedia.

He has won national awards for his video and multimedia work.

Prof. Johnson serves as director of graduate studies for the department of journalism.
